USCG 100 Ton Master, commercial craft, towboat, private yacht, sail and power across a broad span of applications including deliveries, instruction, excursions, daily operations, budgeting and maintenance. Currently a freelance yacht captain with training agreement at Newport Coast Maritime Academy and in 2021 I have certified more than ten clients under US Powerboat Association and NASBLA guidelines for safety at sea.

72' Hatteras CPMY WINDCREST, seven month contract as captain, FL and Bahamas. Intense cruise schedule with guests and owners on board. Duties included but were not limited to training both owners to safely operate vessel, select/arrange exotic locations to visit within the Bahamian Archipelago, coordinate air travel for owners and guests, provision/coordinate meals for guests and owners, maintain/ operate the vessel (often sans mate), manage crew and crew activities, arrange dockage and landside activities on different islands along with administration of operational expenses and projections for the vessel. Approximately 500 hours underway in seven months.
70' Custom Motor yacht NAZDAR, Delivered Virginia Beach, VA to Englewood, FL
70’ Gillikin Deep Sea Fishing Vessel certified for 120 passengers. Delivered Southern NJ to Southport. Subsequently served as operational training Captain and USCG recertification consultant where accurate interpretation and expeditious management and implementation of the requirements under CFR chapter 46, subchapter T was the chief responsibility. 2012-2017: Engaged in buying, renovating and selling property in the Dominican Republic, while residing there. The experience proved to hone my ability as an exceptionally resourceful operator and asset manager in unfamiliar, sometimes hostile environments.
1999-2010: Island Way, Ltd., Co-Founder, 4 resortwear clothing stores in SC and NC. Sold the businesses. Duties and skills gained and utilized: quickboks point of sale proficiency, inventory management, cashflow planning, tax planning, vendor negotiations, employee training, business sales and store buildouts.
2001-2004: Southport Yachts, Southport, NC, Broker/ Founder, sold at a profit in order to concentrate efforts with a blossoming retail resortwear operation.
1998-1999: US Chart Series, Inc at Nokomis, FL – Hired as straight commission ad and product sales rep to recreational marine businesses of all types. Achievements include increased ad sales of 37% in one cycle as well as developing monthly product sales into each and every West Marine store from Fort Myers, FL along the Gulf to Mobile, AL
